Building on earlier work in Sohag, the Population Awareness Clubs (PACs) served as a decentralized hub for sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and family-planning awareness among young men and women. PACs also addressed broader population issues, education, youth concerns, and gender-based violence, while offering space for planning and implementing local initiatives and providing basic counseling services.
PACs established 18 clubs in selected youth centers across Sohag, Assiut, and Sharqia governorates, positioning each center as a knowledge-oriented resource for local communities.
