This research initiative, conducted with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and UNFPA, examined how youth centers across Egypt could play a stronger role in addressing community and youth issues. Targeting youth centers in 10 governorates in the Delta and Upper Egypt, the project sought to:
- Develop mechanisms to increase youth participation in youth centers, with special emphasis on encouraging female participation;
- Improve the activities and programs offered by Egyptian youth centers;
- Strengthen the capacities of the targeted youth centers.
The project also focused on developing the administrative structure and staff capabilities of the targeted centers to enhance efficiency and their ability to serve local communities effectively.
