Etijah worked along with the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) and Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA) from January 2010 until November 2010 on designing youth initiatives in 8 governorates: Cairo, Assuit, South Sinai, Qaliobeya, Gharbiya, Monufiya, Alexandria and Menya. The project’s goal was to involve Egyptian youth in public life to spread, support, and improve the sense of social responsibility among young people in order to enhance their leadership skills so that they can be the driving force of the process of social change for a brighter future. This was achieved by giving a space for youth to create and implement initiatives. The initiatives covered the following fields: environment, health and education.
