To many people, Cairo is a “gray city”, known for its run-down buildings in the urban core, and the unfinished red brick and concrete buildings in informal areas.

In the context of completing the activities of “100% Mohtam” initiative and the students believe in the importance of improving the physical aspect of the environment, Eight students of the Initiative have performed some painting and recycling activities in number of areas in Cairo as some of the houses in “Ezbet Al-Shorbagi” area in “Bulaq” region to inspire people to improve their environment.


“100% Mohtam” is an environmental protection initiative aiming to improve the environment by painting houses and raising people’s awareness about the importance of the street cleaning.

During performing these activities, they were raising awareness of the people of “Al Saff” city about the importance of street cleaning and sorting waste.
