In the heart of Upper Egypt, Amany Adel, a young entrepreneur from Qena, is transforming the agricultural landscape through her startup, Verdosia an agri-tech initiative producing natural bio-stimulants that enhance plant growth, improve soil fertility, and reduce reliance on chemical fertilizers.
Her journey gained momentum during her first agricultural exhibition at Aswan University’s Faculty of Agriculture. Surrounded by established companies, including major fertilizer producers, Amany stood out by presenting a sustainable, locally driven solution rooted in her direct engagement with farmers. Her work even attracted international attention, when a Sudanese agricultural TV presenter expressed interest in introducing her products to the Sudanese market.
With support from Tomooh’s seed fund, Amany independently led Verdosia’s presence at the exhibition, developing promotional materials and successfully marketing her product to a diverse audience.
Before joining Tomooh, The product supported plants from seed to harvest with a natural formula that enhanced immunity and reduced chemical fertilizer use. A prototype had been developed and tested with clients, and an initial MVP was created, but challenges remained in defining a clear market entry strategy, building a Go-To-Market plan, and establishing partnerships to support future growth.
Through Tomooh, Amany was able to sharpen her strategic direction, build a clearer Go-To-Market plan, and strengthen her network. After Tomooh, Her journey continued as she was accepted into the Orange Corners accelerator, where she secured €4,000 in funding.

Following these milestones, Verdosia has successfully launched its final product and established partnerships with farms and nurseries across Upper Egypt, marking a significant step toward scaling sustainable agricultural solutions in the region.
