Project Background

Tomooh project is implemented by Etijah in partnership with Secours Catholique Caritas France (SCCF). The project provides Employability and Entrepreneurship Services to targeted youth to increase youth economic empowerment and to combat youth unemployment in Egypt. The project-specific objective can be summed up as decreasing the gap between the workforce and the job market. The program has two components: Employability and Entrepreneurship.

The entrepreneurship component promotes entrepreneurial learning by raising youth awareness and building their capacities for entrepreneurship. It is a pre-incubation program that aims at developing the participants’ knowledge together with their intention to turn their business ideas into established enterprises on the ground. The component will serve 50 participants from any governorate around Egypt. Tomooh’s unique approach does not only focus on developing the technical skills of the start-ups but also on building the entrepreneur’s transferable and soft skills to be able to conduct their business activities successfully. This can be realized by providing online and offline business and capacity building trainings, coaching and mentorship programs.
