About Etijah

 

Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development.

Based in Cairo, Etijah’s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.

 

Background

 

The Partnerships Manager will be responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships and portfolio of partners that align with Etijah’s mission and goals. This role will involve identifying potential partners, cultivating relationships, responding to calls for proposals, and ensuring effective collaboration to enhance Etijah’s impact and sustainability.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify and evaluate potential partners that align with Etijah’s mission and strategic priorities.
  • Develop and implement a partnership strategy that supports Etijah’s goals.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about trends, opportunities, and challenges in Etijah’s five thematic areas/programs.

Relationship Management

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all partnership-related inquiries and communications.
  • Organize and attend meetings, workshops, and events to promote Etijah and its initiatives.

Proposal Management

  • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations for potential partners.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Coordinate with legal and financial teams to finalize agreements.
  • Project Coordination and Implementation.
  • Work closely with program managers to ensure effective implementation of partnership projects.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of partnership activities, ensuring they meet agreed objectives and outcomes.
  • Report on partnership performance and impact to senior management and stakeholders.

Resource Mobilization

  • Identify funding opportunities and support the preparation of grant applications and funding proposals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors and funding agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements and reporting standards.

 

Skills and Requirements

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 9 years of experience in partnership development, fundraising, or a related role within the nonprofit sector.
  • Proven track record of securing partnerships and funding.
  • Strong understanding of the nonprofit landscape and development sector.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
