Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development.

Based in Cairo, Etijah’s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Background

 

Etijah, a leading youth development organization in Egypt, is seeking a Monitoring and Evlauation Intern to join its M&E Department. This internship presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about M&E activities to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and impactful organization. The selected candidate will have the chance to contribute to collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to assess programs effectiveness and impact.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Assist in the management and verification data related to M&E plans;
  • Assist in developing data collection tools for monitoring activities;
  • Assist with the development and implementation of M&E plans, including the development of performance indicators, results frameworks, and data collection tools and procedures;
  • Collect and analyze data under the supervision of more senior staff;
  • Produce and disseminate basic M&E reports under the supervision of more senior staff;
  • Provide technical assistance to program staff on M&E activities, including data collection and analysis, interpretation of M&E findings, and the use of M&E data for decision-making;
  • Conduct data quality assessments and ensure data completion and validation;
  • Conduct research on best practices in M&E and contribute to the development and implementation of new M&E tools and procedures;
  • Perform other M&E-related tasks as assigned.

 

Qualification and Experience

 

  • Strong writing skills in English;
  • High computer skills, especially in MS Excel, are required;
  • High analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to provide practical solutions to operational challenges;
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams while maintaining a high level of focus and attention to details;
  • Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data;
  • Applicants must be either students or fresh graduates.
