About Etijah:

Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development. Based in Cairo, Etijah’s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.

Project Background:

Etijah Education and Scholarships Program aims at empowering students from disadvantaged communities to become future leaders through a comprehensive learning approach. Currently, the program actively manages and implements a diverse range of educational projects and scholarships, benefiting students of all ages. Collaborating with esteemed partners, the program adopts a holistic approach to nurture students’ skills across different areas. By fostering a well-rounded educational experience, the program equips students with the tools necessary for success, implementing a rich blend of activities both on-ground and online with the support of different local and international donors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess students’ learning and emotional needs
  • Design, develop and support therapeutic and behaviour management activities
  • Support project team to effectively deal with students;
  • Making recommendations on how best to meet students’ social, emotional, behavioral and learning needs;
  • Develop and apply effective interventions to promote psychological wellbeing for students, social, emotional and behavioral development;
  • Profiling and Case Management of students;
  • Attending on ground events with students;
  • Help students’ families understand the learning and mental health needs;
  • Reporting and tracking of cases as required.

Required Qualifications and Experiences 

  • Master’s degree in Psychology.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Psychological Counselling.
  • Case management experience is required.
  • Excellent interactive training skills.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • For Individual Consultants – applicants should have a valid individual tax card or if you are working in a company show us their tax card.
  • For Company applicants should have tax card, vat registration, commercial registration.
