About Etijah

 

Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specialized in developing, improving and disseminating development methodologies in the field of youth and community development. Based in Cairo. Etijah primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute in building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing them with practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.

 

Background

 

In response to the escalating humanitarian crisis over the past decade, exacerbated by the Syrian crisis in 2017, Etijah has been committed to establish Safe Spaces for GBV Survivors Funded by UNFPA and implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports. These spaces offer a comprehensive package of support, including mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS), legal aid, protection services, and medical care for GBV survivors. Beneficiaries encompass refugees, migrants, asylum seekers, and members of host communities.

 

Key Components of the Consultancy

 

• Providing individual clinical consultations
• Organizing the group’s therapeutic or psycho-pedagogical activities
• Supporting the program and the team by suggesting improvements in line with Etijah objectives and strategies
• Coordinating the team’s efforts by developing and/or improving working tools if required
• Organizing patient referrals to adequate local facilities as needed

 

 

Required Qualifications and Expertise 

 

• Certified psychiatrist with an active license.
• Minimum 5 years clinical experience (post-residency) in a multi-disciplinary setting treating patients with psychotherapeutic and/or counseling methods
• Previous experience in a low resource setting (priority given to those with experience working in a humanitarian)
