Scientists estimate that around 8 million metric tons of plastic trash enters the oceans every year and this poses a threat to wildlife.

As a positive response, Some of cohort 2 students in Alexandria University decided to launch “Dream”, an environmental initiative for cleaning beaches and the seaside to get rid of plastic.
They cleaned “Al Shatby” beach in Alexandria (one of the most commonly beaches), they collected tons of trash, pieces of garbage and plastics patches on the seaside that we use on a daily basis such as plastic bottles, plastic bags, cigarettes, food wrappers, plastic utensils, straws, and beverage cans.
