Youth and Development Consultancy Institute – Etijah is a non-profit organization specializing in developing, improving, and disseminating development methodologies in youth and community development.
Based in Cairo, Etijah’s primary concern is to create and tailor up-to-date and high-quality development methodologies, research tools, applicable practices of youth development, and training delivery models, to be able to qualify youth by providing them with the skills, know-how, and aptitudes, as well as contribute to building the capacity of governmental and non-governmental youth-serving organizations. Our role is to provide youth with direct access to unconditional participation by providing practical tools and models for developing community-wide initiatives.
Project Background
Etijah’s Economic Empowerment Department operates as a dynamic force dedicated to creating enduring positive impact across Egypt. The department strategically focuses on enhancing livelihoods, fostering entrepreneurship, developing employability skills and facilitating social integration through innovative and inclusive programs.
The primary objective of this mission is to enhance the online visibility, branding and digital marketing strategies of the enterprises participating in the Digitalize Your Business (DYB) Programme in Greater Cairo. The DYB Programme supports established enterprises with trainings and technical support to transition from analogue to digital modalities. The project focuses on integrating digital capacities and tools to transform the businesses of the targeted enterprises in the digital landscape.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Economic Empowerment Project Officer, and the overall supervision of the Economic Empowerment Program Manager, the service provider(s) will work on training 40 Refugee and Egyptian entrepreneurs on a range of key areas, including social media marketing, content creation, search engine optimization (SEO), and digital advertising strategies on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. After the participants have received the digital marketing training, the selected service provider(s) will deliver tailored individual follow-up in different digital marketing areas to support them in implementing their action plans.
Responsibilities of the Consultant/s:
• Conduct an initial assessment of the current digital marketing practices and digital presence of the enterprises within the DYB Programme to identify areas for improvement.
• Curriculum development for creating compelling content, managing social media accounts, and engaging with the target audience.
• Provide a 3–5-day digital marketing training to 40 beneficiaries, over 2 different rounds.
• Deliver one individual offline follow-up session for each coached entrepreneur based on their needs.
• Develop a customized digital marketing plan for each enterprise based on the enterprise’s unique requirements and goals.
• Advise on branding and marketing strategies and plans to effectively promote products and services.
Job Requirements
1-Proven experience in Digital marketing and/or business development trainings and enterprise support
2-Demonstrated experience in providing branding and digital marketing support, preferably to youth and marginalized groups.
3-Proven expertise in areas such as SEO, marketing, e-commerce, digital marketing campaigns, etc.
4-Strong understanding of local entrepreneurship ecosystems and the nature of marketing strategies in Egypt.
5-Strong communication skills and ability to customize follow-up based on individual business needs.
Key Deliverables:
- Pre and Post Needs Assessment Reports: Comprehensive reports documenting the initial assessment of the digital marketing capabilities and practices, as well as a post-coaching assessment to measure their progress and improvement.
- Successful delivery of the training rounds to the groups of entrepreneurs
- Successful delivery of the individual follow-up sessions for the entrepreneurs
- Submission of final report summarizing the key outcomes, learnings, and recommendations for improvement.
Payment Terms:
- 20% after the successful completion of the first deliverable
- 40% after the successful completion of deliverables 2-3
- 40% after the submission of the final endorsed report
